process school 
An approach to the subject that is concerned with the actual process of communication. The school highlights the channels and the media through which messages are transmitted and by which senders and receivers encode and decode, in particular setting up a model of analysis that is concerned in the matters efficiency and accuracy. This school of thought envisages a message as that which is transmitted by the communication process.
