What is graphic design and context of practice?

       What is graphic design?

Apparently, graphic design can be boiled down to for initial concepts with loads of subcategories. They are communication, commercial, reproducible and distributable, and juxtaposition or integration of word and/or image.
The main problem with defining graphic design is that is so broad, and graphic design is in everything. For me, graphic design is expression, and creation because with graphic design you can create new personalities for brands.
For the normal person, graphic design is about the art of rearranging photos and text, to communicate a message.

       What is context of practice?

The module context of practice is about how we place graphic design in a context. That could mean a political, social, cultural, or technological context. Context can be mean the surroundings of an idea.  I could also mean the terms in which it can be fully understood. The module is based on written essays and small practical briefs.
