development

Since my peer feedback said that they actually read the light can. I wanted to focus on conveying the information in a somewhat annoying but legible way. Therefore I put another poll on Instagram with the initial light green can and an edited design more focused on the repetitive design and see which they preferred. as it seems they do prefer the initial one but taking inspiration from the studio build design of the tobacco packaging. I’ve decided to go along with the more repetitive design as it also kinda works with that people preferred the other one so they might think that this design is less cool which is in favor. I did another Instagram poll to see what people preferred coz I redesigned one version of the can. One which was filled up with text that Connor implements the idea of essentialy overload when you look at it and the other one more pared back with more open space. As expected people preferred the lighter design but that is also the reason why I'm going to go with the other one since it's less appealing and more overwhelming.

I’ve also added QR codes for the website that would inform people about the issues of excessive drinking alongside of scanning code as well as keeping it along the top of the can. This is crispy suggested it in my supposedly group crit and I think it works quite nicely along with a barcode and it being massive I've also implemented some of the lines from the previous designs as it made it feel more and easier with irregular lines through it And I think it needs something more and if not it looked a lot more like that racket packaging and that's not necessarily what I want.

When I continued to work on it idecided to go with it 448 c Pantone colour as it has a stronger link to my theme and is rated the worst colour in the world but I don't want to necessarily just use that as it can be quite bland and the use of like the bright yellow that they use in the tobacco packaging can be too much so going back to the sheet of bad colours that i found I want to try and implement One of the lighter colours as the type i did test and it looks quite cool and it i got some pay feedback and people said that they could read it better so I think the idea of implementing something lighter within the design is more applicable coz they thought it looked kinda cool as it was. the other thing is that I think it looks kinda cool now I might have just looked at it too much to be honest, so think implementing a lighter colour to draw attention to the different types of warnings on the can compared to just all the tax code is too massive and it's going to be a block of text.

Seeing as I can’t actually produce it I wanted to spend some time finding an actual alright mock up for it the last one were not great. I wanted to play with the base colour of it comma the initial test was just dumb on aluminium can colour I quite like the design of it so I figured this was not the way to go Cos it’s too cool. I then decided to test out 448 colour from Pantone as the base colour with a black colour typeface it’s kind of impossible to read. I found this mockup that works quite nicely and it looks more real than the previous one but he get the metallic look of it And I hate not being able to produce things I've kind of come to terms with the fact that I like to hold things could easily see the mistakes as I can't print out the designs I can't look at it the way I want to. Cos I might have preferred something else if I could look at printed out. What do you like is the repetitive nature of the design I feel like it really Hammers in the drink responsibly message. I feel like hiding the branding more than the last version of it makes more sense as the name of it is just part of the branding or lack of branding. Whilst all the information is available and easy to find If you just look at the can you be able to find some sort of information without having any problems. I feel like the implementation of the QR code is quite effective acid is quite appealing because I can I just want to look at it .
